Research Assistant
Stella M. Flores is a Research Assistant at The Civil Rights Project at Harvard University. She is a doctoral candidate in Administration, Planning and Social Policy at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Her work focuses on access to higher education policies and Latino educational pipeline issues. Prior to joining The Civil Rights Project, Ms. Flores worked as a program evaluator at the U.S. General Accounting Office and the U.S. Department of Commerce. She has also worked as a research assistant at the Inter-University Program for Latino Research and interned at the Texas State Legislature. Ms. Flores received her Ed.M in Education from Harvard University and her M.P.Aff. from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin. She received her B.A. in sociology and Spanish from Rice University in Houston, Texas. She is also co-author of "Percent Plans in College Admissions: A Comparative Analysis of Three States' Experiences," published in 2003 by The Civil Rights Project.
