Research Assistant
Liliana M. Garces is a Research Assistant at The Civil Rights Project and a doctoral student in Higher Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Her work focuses on access and diversity in higher education. Prior to joining The Civil Rights Project, Ms. Garces was a staff attorney at The Immigrants’ Rights Project of the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation. She has also worked as a Georgetown Women’s Law and Public Policy Fellow at the Legal Aid Society of Washington, D.C. and as a judicial clerk for the Honorable John C. Coughenour in the Western District of Washington. Ms. Garces received her Ed.M. in Education from Harvard University and her J.D. from the University of Southern California Law School. She received her B.A. in philosophy and international relations from Brown University.
