- New Research, "Disabling Inequity: The Urgent Need for Race Conscious Remedies," highlights the inequitable conditions of learning faced by students with disabilities and the lack of awareness and action that threatens to only deepen the disparate impact that the Pandemic has had on children of color with disabilities. - This study released by the Center for Civil Rights Remedies, CRP shows that the overuse of suspensions in California schools resulted in well over 760,000 days of lost instruction during the 2016-17 academic year. The impact is greatest in grades 7-8 where the disparities along the lines of race and disability are also the deepest.
